The sightseeing half of this tour follows the Best of Corfu route: Achilleion Palace, the hilltop village of Pelekas with its panoramic Kaiser’s Throne viewpoint, and the Kanoni peninsula south of town with its famous view of Panagia Vlacherna church and Mouse Island. These three stops cover the historic and scenic highlights of the island.
Paleokastritsa on the northwest coast can also be included depending on the order and timing agreed at booking. Your driver will recommend the best sequence based on your departure time and the number of guests.

Glyfada Beach
Glyfada is one of the longest and most popular sandy beaches on Corfu, located approximately 17 km west of Corfu Town. The broad bay faces the Ionian Sea and catches the afternoon sun directly. The water is generally calm and clear, with a gradual drop-off that makes it comfortable for all swimmers.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire directly on the beach. Tavernas and cafés along the shore make it easy to eat or have a drink without leaving the beach area. A stop of 30 to 45 minutes is typical, though you can stay longer if the tour timing allows.

Forty to fifty minutes inside the grounds covers the sculpture gardens, the famous Dying Achilles bronze, and the terrace views over the Ionian Sea. Your driver will share the history of Princess Sissi and the palace’s significance before you go in.
Panoramic views
Pelekas & Kanoni
Pelekas village sits on a central ridge with views across both sides of the island, while Kanoni offers the postcard view of Panagia Vlacherna church and Mouse Island across the lagoon. Both stops are open and easy to reach on foot from the road.
Beach time
Glyfada on the West Coast
Glyfada provides a relaxed end to the sightseeing day with clear sea, a long sandy beach, and the option to swim or simply sit and have a drink before the return drive. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the beach for hire at your own cost.

Glyfada beach time is approximately 30 to 45 minutes by default. If you would like more time at the beach, we can extend this by adjusting other stops. Just let your driver know.

How is this different from the Best of Corfu tour?
This tour adds a beach stop at Glyfada and runs for approximately six hours rather than five. It is the same sightseeing route with extra time built in for swimming and relaxing at one of Corfu’s best west-coast beaches.
Can we swim at Glyfada?
Yes. Swimming is part of the plan at Glyfada. If you want to bring snorkelling gear or hire a sunbed, that is all available on site.
Are sunbeds and umbrellas included?
Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to hire directly on the beach, payable on site. They are not included in the tour price.
How long do we spend at the Achilleion Palace?
Approximately 40 to 50 minutes inside the grounds. This covers the sculpture gardens, the Dying Achilles bronze, the palace terrace, and the views over the Ionian Sea. Your driver will give you context before you go in.
